  • CFD analysis of stirred tank reactors is an extremely effective way for design, troubleshoot and scale-up of agitated mixing tanks. CFD analysis provides substantial advantages over conventional empirical approach as it allows visualizing flow, mass, and heat transfer with substantial accuracy even for non-standard mixing systems. However, adoption of CFD analysis for reactor design is often hindered by challenges such as steep learning curve for CFD, long turnaround times for meshing and post-processing. MixIT addresses these challenges by providing users with an intuitive user interface and completely automating the CFD analysis. In this webinar, we introduce MixIT software and present its CFD automation capabilities. Advantages of CFD automation in terms of easy adoption and turnaround times will be discussed. Finally, validation of MixIT CFD analysis against commercial codes and experimental data will be presented.
